Marc A. Imlay, DC, LAc

Dr. Imlay has practiced acupuncture, chiropractic, and nutrition on the East Hill of Kent for the past twenty two years. The many disciplines he has mastered allow him to offer a uniquely holistic approach to health care.

Dr. Imlay began his natural health career as a yoga instructor. He was the first yoga instructor for Kent Parks Department, starting in 1973 and continues to teach yoga as a therapeutic exercise for his patients. In June of 1974, Dr. Imlay became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation, taught meditation full time for three years, and has continued to teach meditation since that time.

Dr. Imlay studied chiropractic and nutrition at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, graduating cum laud and becoming licensed in 1981. He began practicing chiropractic shortly thereafter and has continued in private practice uninterruptedly since.

Dr. Imlay studied acupuncture and herbology at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, graduating and becoming licensed in 1988. He has practiced acupuncture in his private practice since. Dr. Imlay was president of the Acupuncture Association of Washington from 1990 - 1992. He was awarded the Acupuncture Association of Washington's "Acupuncturist of the Year" award in 1992. Dr. Imlay was a member of the board of directors of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from 1991-1994, serving as board chair for one year.
